the physics in self-judgement It's fashionable to talk about judgement of any sort in philosophical or idealistic terms without a tangible handle to flush this down. Out for breakfast I was reading an article on Gratitude by a spiritual teacher. Something about it bothered me. I realized it was the tone. While Gratitude is a good place to come to eventually the article sent the message it was not ok to be where you are at in the moment. If everything is happening the way it's supposed to....then the now is divine. Nothing needs to be changed about it. Even pain. The idea that "things just happen" is a disempowering position to take because it sets us up as a...victim. Generally speaking, lot of us pursuing personal growth tend to be hard on ourselves. I've noticed this often while teaching the Clairvoyant class, the students, as is the process, are triggered initially to enable release of their limiting beliefs. "i cant beleive i did that to myself" Discovering lies can be very painful. Instead of congratulating ourselves for uncovering the lie, we get caught up in judgement of the lie. Why is that a problem? Placing judgement, has the propensity for perpetuating the lie instead of releasing it. Let's look at the physics of judgement. Take the example of a swinging pendulum. Apply force to left or the right, it does not bring the pendulum to....rest. The same applies to what we notice. Positive or negative, judgment is judgment. Period. By applying the energy of judgement, you charge a situation even more to an already charged situation. This prolongs diffusion or doesnt happen. So what can you do? Do nothing. Try Awareness. Noticing something without fueling it further with thoughts like ..... "I'm never doing that again. I always get hurt" Do nothing, can seem futile when you want the pain to just go away. There are things you can do besides judgement. Breathe. Notice the tensions in your body. As you 'do nothing' and 'just notice'...are you breathing? Often in such cases breath becomes shallow. How about your body? Bringing your attention (hence your awareness) to your body can often work miracles. I'm often surprised by how much I dont want to focus on breathing or notice my body. The more unconsiuos we are off what is going in our body more that tension can control us. Allowing something to dwindle down on its own. If you are an over achiever and want extra homework......here is a 3 step process.
